We’re seeking a savvy, empathetic Social Media Manager to help us grow our online presence and foster meaningful community engagement—without chasing every trend.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage our Facebook page and other social platforms (Pinterest, YouTube Community, etc.)
  • Craft posts that promote articles, highlight senior voices, and spark conversation
  • Respond to comments and messages in a respectful, thoughtful tone
  • Monitor performance metrics like reach, shares, and engagement
  • Schedule weekly posts and brainstorm creative campaigns (quizzes, polls, nostalgic content)

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience managing social media for a brand or publication
  • Excellent writing skills and an ear for friendly, senior-appropriate tone
  • Understanding of our 55+ demographic—what resonates and what doesn’t
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and stay organized
  • Bonus: Canva or graphic design experience

Compensation

$400–$600 per month, depending on experience and posting frequency. Estimated 5–7 hours per week.
