Suddenly Senior is a trusted voice for older adults navigating life after the age of 55. From retirement humor to serious guidance on Medicare and Social Security, we connect with millions of readers each year. We’re seeking a savvy, empathetic Social Media Manager to help us grow our online presence and foster meaningful community engagement—without chasing every trend.
What You’ll Do
- Manage our Facebook page and other social platforms (Pinterest, YouTube Community, etc.)
- Craft posts that promote articles, highlight senior voices, and spark conversation
- Respond to comments and messages in a respectful, thoughtful tone
- Monitor performance metrics like reach, shares, and engagement
- Schedule weekly posts and brainstorm creative campaigns (quizzes, polls, nostalgic content)
What We’re Looking For
- Experience managing social media for a brand or publication
- Excellent writing skills and an ear for friendly, senior-appropriate tone
- Understanding of our 55+ demographic—what resonates and what doesn’t
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and stay organized
- Bonus: Canva or graphic design experience
Compensation
$400–$600 per month, depending on experience and posting frequency. Estimated 5–7 hours per week.
