Older adults are frequently targeted by scams—whether it’s phishing emails, fake Medicare calls, or deceptive product ads. At Suddenly Senior, we’re committed to protecting our readers. We’re hiring a vigilant, detail-oriented reporter to track senior-targeted scams, report the facts, and help educate our audience on how to stay safe.

What You’ll Do

  • Monitor scam alerts from the FTC, AARP, BBB, and consumer watchdog groups
  • Write 2–4 short scam alerts per month, each with practical guidance
  • Summarize the key facts in plain, non-alarming language
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to format and publish content
  • Track recurring scam themes and suggest related story ideas

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong research and reporting skills
  • A clear writing style that explains without overwhelming
  • Interest in fraud prevention, cybersecurity, or consumer advocacy
  • Comfort working independently and meeting deadlines
  • Bonus: journalism, paralegal, or senior care background

Compensation

$75–$125 per article or alert, depending on length and complexity. Estimated 2–4 pieces/month to start.
