Suddenly Senior is a long-standing online publication dedicated to helping older adults live better, laugh harder, and stay informed. We publish content on retirement, Social Security, lifestyle, and aging—often with a wink and a smile. We’re seeking a part-time Content Editor who can polish, format, and prepare articles for publication while ensuring our unique tone and accuracy.

What You’ll Do

  • Edit 3–6 articles per week for clarity, grammar, and structure
  • Ensure articles follow our in-house style guide and tone (friendly, senior-aware, accurate)
  • Write SEO meta descriptions and adjust formatting for readability
  • Coordinate with freelance writers on revisions and deadlines
  • Use WordPress to prepare posts for publishing (training provided)

What We’re Looking For

  • Excellent editing and proofreading skills
  • Experience working with content management systems (WordPress preferred)
  • Firm grasp of plain-language writing—especially for older audiences
  • Familiarity with SEO and digital publishing best practices
  • Reliable, responsive, and comfortable working remotely

Compensation

$30–$40/hour, depending on experience, with consistent weekly work available. Estimated 5–10 hours/week.
