Suddenly Senior is more than a website—we’re a movement of older adults sharing laughs, wisdom, and real-life experience. Our readers are loyal, vocal, and full of stories. We’re seeking a Community Engagement Manager to cultivate meaningful connections, encourage interaction, and maintain a warm, respectful, and inclusive environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Respond to reader comments and emails with kindness and professionalism
  • Moderate discussions on our blog, Facebook page, and YouTube Community
  • Encourage user-generated content (funny stories, tips, letters to the editor)
  • Help plan and promote seasonal contests, surveys, or polls
  • Track common questions, feedback, or complaints to help guide content planning

What We’re Looking For

  • An empathetic communicator who enjoys connecting with people, especially older adults
  • Experience with online moderation or community management
  • Strong writing and diplomacy skills (we get a wide range of passionate readers!)
  • Ability to work a few hours per week across different platforms
  • Bonus: familiarity with Facebook Groups or online forums for seniors

Compensation

$20–$30/hour depending on experience. Estimated 4–6 hours/week with potential to grow.
