We’re looking for a curious and reliable Boomer Mythbuster / Fact Checker to dig into trending claims and break down the facts in plain English.

What You’ll Do

  • Investigate popular myths, social media rumors, and chain email claims that affect seniors.
  • Fact-check article drafts and sources related to retirement, health, history, or policy
  • Write short, clear fact summaries or “Myth vs. Fact” callout boxes
  • Track recurring misinformation themes and flag future content opportunities
  • Collaborate with writers to ensure factual accuracy across the site

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong research and verification skills
  • Comfort using reputable sources like .gov, .edu, and significant media archives
  • Ability to explain complex topics (simply and respectfully)
  • Experience in journalism, editing, or academic research is a plus
  • Bonus: familiarity with scams or hoaxes targeting seniors

Compensation

$40–$60 per fact-check or short report. Project-based assignments with potential for ongoing work.
