We’re looking for a curious and reliable Boomer Mythbuster / Fact Checker to dig into trending claims and break down the facts in plain English.
What You’ll Do
- Investigate popular myths, social media rumors, and chain email claims that affect seniors.
- Fact-check article drafts and sources related to retirement, health, history, or policy
- Write short, clear fact summaries or “Myth vs. Fact” callout boxes
- Track recurring misinformation themes and flag future content opportunities
- Collaborate with writers to ensure factual accuracy across the site
What We’re Looking For
- Strong research and verification skills
- Comfort using reputable sources like .gov, .edu, and significant media archives
- Ability to explain complex topics (simply and respectfully)
- Experience in journalism, editing, or academic research is a plus
- Bonus: familiarity with scams or hoaxes targeting seniors
Compensation
$40–$60 per fact-check or short report. Project-based assignments with potential for ongoing work.
